Thank you to everyone who came to Town Meeting, Part 1 last night. We made it through 10 of the 27 articles, passing the fiscal year 2020 budget & capital outlays and approving funding to improve the Blatz softball field at the High School, purchase a replacement pumper truck for our Fire Department and advance the design for the downtown revitalization project.

Lots going on downtown this morning!

So many wonderful downtown activities this morning (Little League Parade, Egg Hunt, Lake Q Cleanup, Board Game Fun, Take Back Day). Please have patience, obey rules and stay alert, while having fun. Consider walking or biking to your events and to our local businesses on this Earth Day weekend!

The Wakefield Police Department has been advised that the annual Wakefield Little League Parade and opening ceremonies will take place on Saturday April 27 starting at 1000AM.

The route will start at the Wakefield Memorial Common with participants marching south on Main Street to Water St, east on Water Street to Del Carmine Street to Fernald Field.
